The DRIVE4COPD 300 kicks off the 2013 NASCAR® Nationwide Series on February 23 at Daytona International Speedway!

The 55th annual DRIVE4COPD 300, held the day prior to the Daytona 500, is the season-opening event for the NASCAR® Nationwide Series. The 120-lap, 300-mile race features the stars of the NASCAR® Nationwide Series as well as some moonlighting NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series drivers in a battle for a coveted Daytona victory on the 31-degree high banks. The late Dale Earnhardt owns a record seven DRIVE4COPD 300 victories while Tony Stewart has won six of the past eight races. Among the competitors expected to be in the 2013 edition of the DRIVE4COPD 300 include Dale Earnhardt Jr., Austin Dillon, Elliott Sadler and Trevor Bayne.

The race takes place during NASCAR®’s biggest weekend, the day before the Daytona 500. This 120-lap, 300-mile event will feature the rising stars of the NASCAR® Nationwide Series as they face off against the stars of the NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series.

Through this partnership, the campaign is educating race fans across the country on the signs and symptoms of COPD, encouraging them to be screened to see if they may be at risk and talk to their healthcare provider.
